Cook House is early 18th Century, with exposed beams inside and the typical white rendered exterior of a local Lakeland house. It has recent updates of a new conservatory, a brand new bathroom for guests and comfortable refurbished rooms . There are two bedrooms – a twin/double with ensuite bathroom, or a double room with adjoining private new large bathroom with shower.

The garden is a passion of the owner and has many interesting plants, roses and borders.

Lucy is an outstanding cook, and she uses local fresh ingredients from Levens farmers ,local fish and occasionally Morecambe Bay shrimps, and when available vegetables from the garden. Local fresh free range eggs and local Cumberland sausage and bacon are used for breakfasts. Specialities include local rose veal, venison and game, chicken with fresh herbs or Sri Lankan curries. For pudding Chocolate fondant pudding, chocolate and lemon soufflé, local rhubarb or fruits with vanilla Bavarois.
