Cook House is situated in the historic Cumbrian village of Levens overlooking the Kent Estuary and Morecambe Bay. As its name implies, the house was formerly a cook house for weary drovers making their way with their flocks across the valley to Kendal Market town, Charmingly typical of this beautiful area, it was built in the early 18th century with characterful beams and a white rendered exterior.
You will be welcomed on arrival with afternoon tea in the conservatory, garden or beside the cosy fire in the drawing room. Lucy has made this house into a most comfortable home that is light and sunny. The two available bedrooms have been recently refurbished to a high standard and offer every luxury for guests. One has adjoining spacious modern bathroom and the other an en-suite bathroom. Both overlook a rose garden which is just one part of the pretty gardens surrounding Cook House, all of which designed by Lucy.
